Key Ingredients
Essential Vitamins & Minerals
Complete Greens provides the optimal levels of essential vitamins and minerals often missing from even the healthiest diets, including Vitamins B12, D3, K2, zinc, and iodine. These vital nutrients are the cornerstone of Dr. Fuhrman's multivitamins, designed to support your overall health and well-being. They play crucial roles in energy metabolism, immune function, bone strength, muscle contraction, and brain health. Dr. Fuhrman's multivitamins deliver just the right amount of each nutrient—never too much, never too little—to reach nutritional excellence with your healthy lifestyle.
Green Tea
Studies show that drinking green tea regularly is linked to better cardiovascular health and a lower risk of several cancers. Green tea is rich in catechins, particularly epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG), which are rare flavonoid antioxidants. In Complete Greens, green tea extract is combined with sunflower lecithin to enhance bioavailability. Note: Dr. Fuhrman recommends no more than 300 mg/day of EGCG from green tea supplements. One scoop of Complete Greens contains 20 mg EGCG.
Organic Turmeric
Complete Greens contains curcumin, the major bioactive phytochemicals (curcuminoids) from turmeric root, along with organic turmeric root powder. Curcumin is known for its anti-inflammatory effects. In vitro studies show that curcumin inhibits NF-κB, a transcription factor that regulates the inflammatory response, making it a powerful component for promoting joint and immune health.
Organic Black Turmeric (Kaempferia parviflora)
Phytochemicals from black turmeric (Kaempferia parviflora) activate the SIRT1 enzyme in laboratory studies. Activation of SIRT1 is linked to the health benefits of caloric restriction and is associated with healthy aging, providing unique support for longevity and metabolic health.
Organic Mushrooms
Complete Greens includes Dr. Fuhrman's exclusive blend of nine organic mushrooms: Maitake, Reishi, Himematsutake, Turkey Tail, Shiitake, Lion's Mane, Meshimakobu, Chaga, and Zhu Ling. This unique combination delivers a variety of mushroom phytochemicals that are rarely found in everyday diets. The mushrooms' cell walls are rich in beta-glucans, powerful polysaccharides known for their ability to enhance immune function. Research suggests that these compounds activate key immune cells, including monocytes, dendritic cells, and natural killer cells, to strengthen the body's natural defenses. Studies have shown that consuming mushrooms or their extracts can significantly support immune health.
Organic Plant Protein
Complete Greens provides high-quality plant protein from whole food sources, including organic pea protein, organic chia seeds, and organic pumpkin seeds, supporting muscle maintenance and overall health. Plant-based proteins are not only beneficial for active individuals and older adults who require more protein to maintain muscle mass, but they also offer a healthier alternative to animal proteins. Studies link higher plant protein intake to reduced risks of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, making Complete Greens a smart addition to any diet for optimal health and performance.

Our manufacturing facility has an allergen control program in place designed to properly handle, store and use materials in production to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Why should we limit EGCG from green tea supplements to 300 mg/day?
Liver-related side effects, though rare, have been reported in some randomized controlled trials on green tea extract. These adverse effects were only reported in studies that used doses of green tea extract including more than 676 mg/day of EGCG. Research is ongoing to determine whether people with specific genetic variants are more likely to experience liver problems at high doses of EGCG. To ensure safety for everyone, regardless of genetics, Dr. Fuhrman recommends keeping daily EGCG from green tea supplements below 300 mg.
